Start Here — Recognize What Needs Rebuilding

Your first step. Nothing to buy, nothing to join yet. Read it, answer honestly, and write down one stone you can set this week.

Scripture Anchor

He looked at the wall before he touched it.

Nehemiah 2:11–18

When Nehemiah reached Jerusalem, he waited three days. Then he went out at night with a few people and no announcement, and he surveyed the broken wall and the burned gates for himself. He told no one what God had put on his heart until he had seen the damage with his own eyes.

Only then did he speak: you see the trouble we are in. Come, let us rebuild. And the people said, let us start — each household taking the one section in front of them.

That is the order. Honest assessment first. Prayer alongside it. Then one assigned section — not the whole wall, and not someone else's part of it. Restoration works this way. So does leadership.

Three Questions

Sit with these before you write anything down.

  1. 01

What area of my life or leadership most needs rebuilding right now?

  2. 02

What have I been avoiding naming clearly?

  3. 03

What is one section of the wall I can responsibly work on this week?

My First Stone

Three short lines. This stays on your own device — nothing is sent anywhere, and no one sees it but you.

Naming it plainly is the hardest part, and you are already doing it.
